How reference chasers work?
When your employee has connected to your organisation, this authorises you as a connection to send references to previous employees. First reference requests are sent as soon as you approve the reference to be sent and the connection is active.
- You can view the reference logs by going to the employees profile.
- You can then click on the reference section
- Then click view audit on any reference
- All dates and event types are documented
When are references chased?
References are automatically chased twice a week. Mondays and Thursdays. Sending twice a week is optimal based on our research not to frustration employers. Also send on Mondays and Thursdays have been proven to give llama.id the highest performance of references being completed.
You will see additional logs in the reference log every time a reference is chased
What happens when a reference is completed digitally?
When a reference form is completed digitally, you are notified instantly. The reference chase is automatically stopped and you can view the digital reference form. You can still view the audit after a reference has been completed.
What is a reference validation email?
Following our research certain bodies request organisation to send a confirmation email to the referee. When the referee completes the reference, an email is sent back to the referee informing them that this email address has submitted the reference and if this wasn't them for them to get in contact.
This is logged in the audit log as below. You can also see the email template we send out with your branding on the footer.
What happens if a referee doesn't want to complete a digital form?
Not a problem. 26% of references are either completed by email or their own pro-forma's. llama.id has taken this onboard unlike other reference companies. We have built the most sophisticated email routing system, to ensure response from referees are sent back straight to your organisation.
How to upload a manual reference?
- Go to the employees profile
- Click on the reference you want to add the manual form to
- Upload the manual form and update
- This completes the reference
- This is logged in the audit
- Reference chasers will stop immediately.
Can I pause reference chasers?
Yes of course! As soon as references are approved and the employee is connected, next to every reference you have a pause icon or play icon
If you want to pause a reference chase
- Click the play button on the reference
- Confirm you want to stop the reference
- Reference chasers will be automatically stopped
- This will be added to the audit log
If you want to restart a reference chase
- Click the pause button on the reference
- Confirm you want to re-start the reference
- Reference chasers will be automatically re-started
- This will be added to the audit log
