What does my DBS status mean?

Your Llama ID profile is updated with every change to your DBS application. You will also receive email notifications to keep you updated with what is going on with your application. 


These are the key statuses:

 

DBS application statusMeaningHow will I be notified?
Status 2You have completed everything you need to for your DBS application.
The application will now be with your organisation to verify. 
You will receive an email and a dashboard notification confirming your part of the DBS application has been completed.
Status 7Your organisation has successfully submitted the application to the DBS service. You will receive an email and a dashboard notification confirming the DBS application has been submitted to the DBS service.
Status 14This is when DBS acknowledges the receipt of your application. You will also be sent your DBS tracking number.You will receive an email with your E number. This is your DBS tracking number which you can use to check the status of your application.
Status 15This is when the DBS has completed your check. Your organisation can view the result instantly and your DBS certificate will be sent to the current address you filled out on your application. 

You will receive an email and a dashboard notification confirming your DBS application is completed and has been dispatched. 

 

This status is important to know:

 

Status 8This is when the DBS has rejected your application. Your hiring organisation will be made aware of the reason why your application was rejected. They will then be in touch to discuss the next steps. Your organisation will be in touch to discuss the next steps of your application.
