How do I give consent for llama.id to check my Update Service record for my employer?

Legally we need to have your consent to check your record on the DBS Update Service. You can do this in two places when you are inside the llama.id dashboard.

1. Consent to the Update Service check when uploading your DBS certificate

Consent to the Update Service check when uploading your DBS certificate

When you upload your DBS certificate to llama.id this consent field is available. By selecting you are on the Update Service and submitting the form you are agreeing to llama.id connecting and checking your Update Service record for your employer.

You can change your consent at any given point. Follow this process for how to update your consent for llama.id to connect to your Update Service record.

Below is what it looks like when you have consented: 

Below is what it looks like when you have not consented:

• Go to your dashboard in llama.id
• Click 'check requested'
• Go to your organisation
• Scroll to the bottom of the checks requested screen
• You will see the DBS consent panel with a button to opt in or opt out
• If the circle is filled red, this means you have consented to the Update Service check and you are active 
• If the circle is filled white, this means you have not consented to the Update Service check and you are not active
• You can change these statuses at any point by clicking in the circle and saving the status
