I cannot complete my DBS application yet. What does this mean?

Summary

There are a few reasons why you might not be able to complete your DBS application straight away. llama.id follows latest IDSP legislations which means we need you to complete your bio-metric ID and right to work checks first.

Different statuses and their meanings

"Get started" status

The above means you need to have completed your right to work check using our digital document check process, and ensure that the right to work and ID status is marked "completed".

When you have completed the right to work and ID check, the DBS application status will say allow you to continue with the DBS application.

Get started status doesn't allow me to continue with my DBS application, what should I do?

When you click on the DBS application and it takes you back to the right to work check, this means that you still need to complete the right to work check or the right to work check outcome is still pending.

If you have submitted your right to work check, then please don't worry. This will be currently being reviewed by the llama.id team.

Our team might reach out to you to obtain any additional documents to prove your right to work. Once llama.id has completed your right to work check, you will be notified and then you can complete your DBS application.

"Pending" status

This means that you have uploaded a DBS certificate and this is still awaiting a decision from your organisation. If you have uploaded a DBS and need to complete a new DBS application, please contact your employer to reject your DBS certificate.

When your employer has rejected your DBS certificate you will then be able to complete your DBS application.
