If you employee has made a mistake on their application you can update the application for the candidate. This saves significant time without having to send the application back to the individual to update. Follow this simple guidance on how to update mistakes on an employees application.

How to update a DBS application?

When the candidate has submitted their DBS application for you to review and this has been been validated by llama.id, you will get an email and dashboard notification. The notification will state that the DBS and ID documents have been validated, so the DBS review can now begin.

Click on the notification which will take you to the witness page
or go to the employees profile and go to the witness page

You will be able to view the employees application data by clicking view. This will allow you to review and cross reference all additional data in the DBS application.

If the application needs editing you can click the 'edit application button and this will take you through the DBS application to amend any information you need. You will not be able to edit any declarations the employee has made, but all other application information can be edited.

If you want to edit any information you can add, overwrite or delete any information in this application to prepare the DBS application for submission.

All the declarations the employee made will not be editable as this has to have been consented to by the candidate

You can edit address history the same way an employee can. You can edit addresses and add missed addresses if there are any.

You need to go through the entire application and resubmit the data. If you edit application information and then leave the flow this will not save the entire application data. You need to ensure you go all the way through the DBS application and submit the employees data again.

Once you have edited the DBS application and you are happy the application has all the information present, you can now submit the employees part of the DBS application.
