The right to work share code was introduced in July 2019, as part of a post-Brexit law. They are used to ease the process of verifying a persons right to work in the UK.
If Llama ID has asked you for a share code, this is because you either have a passport of a NON-UK country or have a British overseas passport.
A share code is also required for European citizens following the introduction of the EU settlement scheme by the UK government.
