DBS Statuses

DBS application status	Meaning	Notifications
Status 0	This means the DBS application has been completed but no one has checked or approved the application.	Employee/candidate: A notification will be sent when DBS application has been successfully submitted to the organisation. Organisation: A notification will be sent when the employee/candidate has submitted their application for approval.
Status 2	This status means that the organisation has checked and approved the DBS application.	Employee/candidate: A notification will be sent when the application has been checked and approved by the organisation. Organisation: A notification will be sent when the DBS has been successfully submitted to the registered body
Status 3	This is where an error was found in the DBS application by the registered body. This could be for reasons such as a duplicate name in the application.	The organisation will be notified that there is an error in the application.
Status 4	This means the organisation has fixed the error and resubmitted the application back to the registered body.	The employee/ candidate will be notified that the DBS application has been resubmitted back to the registered body.
Status 7	This the organisation has successfully submitted the application to the DBS service and it is waiting to be countersigned.	The employee/ candidate will be sent a notification confirming the DBS application has now been submitted.
Status 8	This is when the registered body has rejected the DBS application.	The organisation will be notified of this error and will be able to push the application back to status 3 which means they can amend application to fix the errors.
Status 13	This is when the DBS has fully rejected the DBS application due to finding an unspent conviction or some of the information submitted is in correct	The organisation will be notified that the DBS application has been rejected.
Status 14	This is when DBS acknowledges the receipt of the DBS application. The employee/candidate will be sent the DBS tracking number at this stage.	Employee/ Candidate: A notification will be sent containing an E number. This can also be found on the employee/candidates dashboard. The DBS tracking number can be used to check which stage the DBS is at and if it has been dispatched.
Status 15	This is when the Disclosure and Barring Service has completed the check. The organisation can see the result of the check at this point. The DBS certificate will be sent to the candidate/employees current address.	Employee/ Candidate: A notification will be sent confirming the confirming DBS application has been completed and dispatched. This will also be shown on the dashboard within Llama.id.
